2024 Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to our 2024 Volunteer of the Year! David Stevens, CFA has been a long-time volunteer with CFA Society Minnesota. Here are some of the things he's been a part of!

He has been involved with the Research Challenge as a grader since 2012 and has been leading the Grading Team since 2021.
Led one of our Day in the Life events profiling a Portfolio Manager's role.
Actively involved in the Society Book Club for many years.
Been a frequent attendee at the New Charterholder Event which recognizes new Charterholders and those who supported them along the way. (Even when he didn’t know any of the newly minted CFA Charterholders.)
Plus additional volunteering at the CFA Institute level, serving as an Exam Grader for 27 years, serving on and Chairing the Disciplinary Review Committee, serving as a member of the Council of Examiners (writing Level III exam questions), co-author of an Ethics Chapter in the Level I readings.

2024-25 Research Challenge Subject Company Announced

Sun Country Airlines is a low-cost airline based at MSP Airport with headquarters located on airport property. Sun Country operates to destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. The airline also has significant charter operations and is a contract cargo operator for Amazon Air.
