COFFEE SOCIAL--- Sun, May 4 --- Catered Lunch (by anonymous donor) in honor of Sarah Kojis as she transitions out of her full-time position, after 5 years of exemplary devotion to all our parish and its administrative needs. We are thankful to be retaining her as our part-time financial admin going forward and we wish her well in her new chapter as a proud new grandmother.

MISSION COIN BOXES COLLECTION --- Sun, May 4 --- We want to remind all families who participated in the OCMC Mission Coin Box fundraiser to please bring their coin boxes to Sunday School this Sunday, May 4th. Thank you for participating in this worthy cause.

Stewardship giving statements were emailed on April 18, documenting 2025 Quarter 1 Stewardship giving from onrealm.com. If you did not find your email, please check your Spam folder. To be eligible to vote, you need to have given 25% of your 2025 pledge by the time of the Assembly. Contributions towards stewardship without a 2025 Pledge Form does not meet the qualification for voting privileges.
SUNDAY SCHOOL GRADUATION --- Sun, May 18 --- Father Ciprian will present the students with graduation certificates and our high school graduates will be honored. Our annual "End of the Year Ice Cream Celebration" will follow. A Sign-Up Genius will be sent out soon.
DAUGHTERS OF PENELOPE CRAZY HAT LUNCHEON --- Sat, May 10 --- REGISTRATION EXTENDED
11:00am at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee --- Put on your most eye-catching hat and join us for cocktails at 11 am. Lunch at 12 noon. Dr. Ellen Censky, President and CEO of the Milwaukee Public Museum will share insights into the Wisconsin Wonders campaign, for the transformation of our natural history museum. Proceeds will benefit the Daughters of Penelope Scholarship Fund and the new Milwaukee Public Museum. Gentlemen are welcome. Admission is $65 per person. CHURCH OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR --- Regrettably, the new highly qualified hire as our full-time Church Office Administrator accepted another position before beginning work at Annunciation. We thank our devoted volunteers for helping us this past week and helping us manage our office needs going forward, including the March/April Koinonia (Newsletter). Considering our current office challenges, we ask everyone for your understanding, patience and cooperation as we are now again and very actively looking for the right person to be hired for this much-needed full-time position. STEWARDSHIP --- As of May 1, 2025, we have received 204 Stewardship Pledges totaling $295,669.80. To date, we received $145,207.81 from Pledged Households and $43,985.25 from non-pledged households and donors.
With your help, we can prayerfully reach our goal of $450,000.
If you haven’t already done so, please submit your 2025 Pledge form ASAP, so we reach our goal of 400+ Pledged Households before summer. The 2025 Stewardship Pledge Form is available in the Office, in each Koinonia edition, and you can also submit your pledge form ONLINE on our website www.annunciationwi.org. Remember, if you give monthly via PayPal or our online portal, you still need to submit a pledge form every year.
Thank you to all who have submitted your 2025 Stewardship Pledge form and have begun your giving plan. May our proportional offering of personal time, talents, and treasure always be generous, fruitful, and blessed.

AHEPA Scholarship Program and Awards --- The AHEPA Chapter 43 Milwaukee Scholarship Foundation has awarded more than $775,000 to outstanding high school graduates since 1959, thanks to the generosity of its supporters. This year a total of $28,800 were awarded to 10 graduates, most of whom are active members of our parish: Elias Argyres, Demitri Demolas, Victoria Kotsonis, Sophia LaGalbo, Elaina Raicu, Joseph Tzougros, and Xander Zwart. Congratulations to all of them!
OCWA Dr. Mary P. Hallick Scholarship Award DINNER --- This year’s scholarship recipients were our very own Sophia LaGalbo and Elaina Raicu. Congratulations to them both!
THE DAUGHTERS OF PENELOPE, Hector Chapter 107, is proud to announce its 2025 scholarship recipient. Sophia LaGalbo, daughter of Anthony and Demetra LaGalbo, will be graduating from Homestead High School and then attending Loyola University, Chicago, studying film and digital media. She expressed that her Greek Orthodox faith has given her the strength and guidance throughout her studies and helped to achieve her academic and personal goals. She has participated in several sports, DECCA, and founded the local chapter of Operation Smile in 2023, raising funds for children needing surgery for cleft lip surgery. Sophia achieved high academic honors including the National Honor Society. Congratulations to Sophia LaGalbo!
