2025-1

From the Desk Of

Curtis Glassen

As we step into 2025, I am excited to share some significant updates and goals for the year ahead. The end of 2024 brought about some big changes for us. We have created separate and more dedicated teams for our service (support) desk and professional services (projects). This restructuring allows us to provide more focused and efficient support to meet your needs.

Looking forward, our 2025 goals include substantial upgrades and changes to the systems we use "under the hood." We are transitioning to a new monitoring and management platform, which will enhance our ability to proactively manage your IT environments. Additionally, we are introducing a customer payment portal to streamline your billing experience.

Our MMS meeting process is also receiving an overhaul. Our quarterly meetings will continue to focus on technology alignment, but they will soon reference a new written annual comprehensive technology strategy and budget. This approach ensures that our recommendations are aligned with your business goals, helping you achieve greater success.

We value your partnership and are committed to remaining a trusted advisor. Keep an eye out for an email requesting your participation in a questionnaire that will help us create these strategies and budgets tailored to your needs.

2024 was a very successful and growth-oriented year for us, and we couldn't have done it without your support. Thank you for your continued trust and partnership. We look forward to achieving even greater success together in 2025.

New Offering: Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop

As an MSP dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions for our clients, we are thrilled to introduce our latest offering: Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop. These powerful cloud-based solutions are designed to meet the needs of our SMB clients, offering flexible, scalable, and cost-effective remote access to applications and data, all hosted in Microsoft Azure data centers.

Always-On Cloud Hosted Desktops

Our new cloud desktops provide an always-on, fully hosted environment that allows for seamless remote access. This means you can access your applications and data from anywhere, without the need for capital expenses associated with on-premise servers. Whether you are in the office, at home, or on the go, you can stay connected and productive.

Scalability to Match Your Growth

One of the standout features of Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop is their scalability. These cloud desktops allow you to easily scale up or down to accommodate your business’s growth or changing needs. Whether you need to add more users or adjust resources, these solutions offer the flexibility to adapt quickly and efficiently.

Cost-Effective Solutions

When paired with our MMS thin client service, these cloud desktops provide a very low upfront cost for a highly scalable and available system. This combination offers significant cost savings compared to traditional on-premise solutions, making it an attractive option for SMBs looking to optimize their IT budget.

The Importance of Multi-Factor

Authentication (MFA) for

VPN Security

As remote work continues to expand, Virtual Private

Networks (VPNs) remain a critical tool for securing access to organizational resources. However, while VPNs offer encrypted connections, they are only as secure as the methods used to authenticate users. Passwords alone are no longer enough to protect against modern cyber threats. This is where Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) plays a critical role.

Why Passwords Are Not Enough

Even strong passwords are susceptible to theft, phishing schemes, and brute force attacks. Once compromised, they can grant attackers unrestricted access to sensitive systems via the VPN, potentially leading to data breaches, financial losses, or reputational damage. MFA addresses this vulnerability by requiring additional verification steps that are harder to compromise.
