Introducing Our New MMS Thin Client Service

Your Gateway to Efficient, Cost-Effective Remote Computing

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest offering as part of our Managed Monitoring and Support (MMS) Program: the MMS Thin Client Service.

A Smart, Cost-Effective Solution

One of the primary advantages of our MMS Thin Client Service is its cost-efficiency. Whether you decide on a new, compact, and cost-effective thin client device or choose to repurpose an existing desktop or laptop computer, this service offers an economical solution for connecting to remote computers. You can seamlessly access an on-premises terminal server, Windows 365, or Azure Virtual Desktop hosted desktops. This flexibility ensures that you can leverage the best remote computing solutions tailored to your specific needs.

Local Web Browser Capabilities

In addition to providing remote desktop access, our thin client solution includes a local web browser. This feature is particularly beneficial for scenarios where only a web browser is needed. Whether you are browsing the internet, accessing web-based applications, or conducting online research, our thin client delivers the performance and reliability you expect.

Remote Management, Monitoring, and Support

Our MMS Thin Client Service is more than just a connection solution; it is a comprehensive managed service that includes remote management, monitoring, and support of your devices. This means that our team of experts is constantly overseeing your systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently. We handle everything from routine maintenance to critical updates, so you can focus on your core business activities with peace of mind.

Enhanced Security

Security is a top priority in today’s digital landscape. Our MMS Thin Client Service incorporates robust security measures to protect your sensitive data. We manage and deploy security patches remotely, ensuring that your devices are always up to date with the latest protections. This proactive approach minimizes vulnerabilities and safeguards your business against potential threats.

Employee Spotlight - Daniel Slawski

Professional Services Engineer

Daniel Slawski

Q: What is your job title and how long have you been with the company?

A:  I am a Professional Services Engineer. I have been with Glassen since Mid-October of last year, so I’ve been here a little under 5 months.

Q: What is it like working at Glassen?

A: Personally, it’s a more fun and flexible work environment compared to my previous job. Various solutions can be shared to help collaborate with each other when working on an issue.

Q: What do you like about the company culture?

A: It’s quite enjoyable! Previously I did not have a monthly company lunch or company outing as we mostly kept to ourselves. Company outings would usually be turned down as nobody would want to see the boss or each other after work aside from meeting up with work friends.

Q: What is your favorite part of the job?

A: Flexibility and project work. Having big projects that take a while is kind of new to me as most of my work would have been previously handled in a week or two. Now I have to have a long-term mindset and plan my day around what I can do when. It’s more interesting this way.

Q: What is unique about working at Glassen?

A: Since this is a smaller office, I get to go on site and meet customers directly on occasion which I enjoy. Previously I would just work with everyone remotely, or oftentimes the client would come to me, and we would need to borrow someone’s cubicle to meet in.

Q: How would you summarize your job?

A:   If I had to tell someone what I do, I would just say “I’m an IT guy”. If I had to describe further than that I would say Desktop Technician/Engineer, whichever sounds better or more impressive!

Q: What is something about you that not many people know?

A: I like to cook, usually with family or friends. It’s nice trying out new recipes with my dad as it’s not usually something he would ever do on his own time.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: Video Games by far. Computers in general come in as a close second as they’re great to tinker with.

Q: Are you currently binge-watching any shows?

A: Currently I am watching Invincible with my friends but that’s been put on hold as Monster Hunter Wilds just came out.

Q: One thing you couldn't live without?

A: Probably my PC, I’m almost always on it.

Q: What is something we should know about you?

A: As a sort of fun fact, I used to have a small snow shoveling business when I was in grade school. Though getting up at 4AM to shovel was not very fun.
