December 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you are enjoying a peaceful and joyous Advent season. As we enter this new year, we are filled with gratitude, especially for the blessing of St. Veronica School. We are so proud of our growing Catholic school, where disciples thrive in both faith and knowledge within a loving and supportive environment.

The mission of St. Veronica School is to prepare students not only for this life, but also to provide a solid foundation for the life to come. We take this mission seriously, focusing on the total development of each child – spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. As believers, we embrace the evangelizing mission of our parish and school, passing on the faith to the next generation.

Over the past year, the St. Veronica parish staff and Finance Commission have worked together to assess the cost of educating a student at St. Veronica. Currently, the cost to educate each student is approximately $7,500, and this figure is expected to continue to rise in the coming years. This amount does not include the ongoing capital improvement needs of the building. After much prayer and discernment, parish leadership has set the tuition rates for the 2025-2026 school year. Attached, you will find the new tuition rates along with available scholarship opportunities.

This year, you will notice a slight adjustment to the technology fee. The technology needs at St. Veronica have grown significantly over the past five years. Our current technology fee primarily covers the maintenance of our existing digital infrastructure. The increase in next year’s technology fee will help us support our aging devices and provide 5th-8th grade students with a device that will be owned by their family at the end of 8th grade.

We are fortunate to have several scholarship options available, including the universal Ohio EdChoice, support from the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, parishioner support, Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) funds, and financial aid offered by the parish. The Ohio EdChoice Expansion Scholarship is expected to be renewed in July 2025. While the exact scholarship amounts will not be available until then, we expect the offerings to remain consistent with current awards.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss these opportunities further, Dusty Bowman, St. Veronica and St. Andrew Business Manager, and Stephanie Woodall, Principal, are available to meet with you.

We fully understand the sacrifices families make to send their children to Catholic school. At the same time, we recognize that the rewards and blessings of Catholic education are immeasurable. It is a commitment to and investment in your most valued gift – your children.

Gathering as a parish community to celebrate Mass together on the weekends is the heart of life at St. Veronica Catholic Church. The Eucharist is the reason we exist as a parish and why, as a parish, we sponsor St. Veronica Catholic School. We are deeply grateful for the financial contributions and prayerful support of so many parishioners, which make our school possible.

Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will open to current families and parishioners on January 6, 2025. Registration for new families and non-parishioners will begin on January 24, 2025. We strongly encourage you to register early to ensure your child’s placement for the upcoming school year.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Del Staigers, Pastor
