2025-26 ECNL Team Setup & Registration Steps

Good morning,

As we continue preparations for the 2025-26 season, we want to provide your club with a clear, step-by-step overview of the actions required to ensure proper team setup and registration across the ECNL, ECNL Regional League, and Pre-ECNL platforms.

This year, player registration will open earlier than usual—on June 1, 2025. Since teams must be registered and accepted into their respective ECNL Conference or ECNL Regional League before any player registration can begin, we are sharing instructions for that process first.

More details regarding Player and Staff Registration will be shared in the coming days.

ECNL Team Setup

As you begin preparing your teams for the 2025-26 season, please ensure your B/G13 (U13) team is either created or updated with the correct naming convention:

AFC Richmond ECNL B13
AFC Richmond ECNL RL B13

Please make sure "ECNL" appears before "RL" in all ECNL Regional League team names.

Do not use hyphens, dashes, or special characters—these are not accepted in team names.

For B/G11 and older age groups, do not create new teams. Use existing teams and simply update team names as needed (e.g., B/G08 should now be listed as B/G08/07).

Registering Teams to Conferences & Leagues

To register your teams to the appropriate ECNL conference and league, follow this guide: How to register a team to a tournament.

Note: ECNL, ECNL RL, and Pre-ECNL clubs will not be charged at checkout—league fees will be billed directly by ECNL Accounting.

Team registration will open on June 1st. Please complete your team registrations no later than June 21, 2025.
