Celebrating the 'T' in #159STRONG

T is for triumphant. Georgia’s 159 counties have won many battles, both collectively and individually. Collective wins are primarily related to ACCG’s legislative advocacy efforts under the Gold Dome, rooted in a consensus building policy development process allowing counties to assert one voice before state lawmakers. Individual wins are countless, ranging from strategic responses to crises and natural disasters in their respective communities to overcoming hurdles to secure major local and regional economic development deals. Whether they are triumphant with one voice or by their own merit, counties’ efforts are intentionally exerted to ensure their communities are and remain #159STRONG.

Important Changes at the Savannah Convention Center

The Savannah Convention Center has a new look! With construction now complete, there are several changes to the layout, including the locations of conference sessions, parking, and overall facility navigation. To help you navigate the updated space, we've outlined important details to ensure you can easily access everything you need for the conference.

  1. All conference sessions will be held in the newly renovated spaces on the opposite side of the water ferry and the Westin.
  2. Conference registration will no longer be held in the River Concourse. It will now be in the North Pre-Function area, near the building entrance, close to the parking lot and shuttle drop-off.
  3. Conference attendees are encouraged to use the hotel shuttles or drive/carpool to the Convention Center. While the water ferry remains an option, there is a long walk from the ferry dock to the conference registration area and limited mobility assistance will be available. However, the water ferry is highly recommended for transportation to the Saturday night Mardi Gras Celebration, as the event will be held on the Esplanade near the ferry dock.
  4. Free parking is available in the lot at the front of the building.
  5. The updated space is significantly larger and will require more walking. Please wear comfortable shoes and utilize the elevators and escalators when traveling to different floors.

More information on parking and the facility layout can be found on the conference website under Logistics. Click here to easily access the parking webpage and here to view the new facility layout.
