During the National Matches, the World Series of competitive shooting, competitors shoot shoulder-to-shoulder with competitors from around the country.

Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center

~ World Class Marksmanship Facility ~

The Civilian Marksmanship Program invites the public to the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center at Camp Perry, in Port Clinton, Ohio. Our world-class air rifle and air pistol facility features 80 state-of-the-art electronic targets. All shots are instantly displayed on monitors beside each participant as well as on display screens visible to spectators around the range.

The Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center holds two Laser Shot Simulators, programed with hundreds of range and target scenarios in rifle, pistol and shotgun formats. These systems are available for the public to use anytime the facility open.

The Competition Center hosts an array of events throughout the year and is comprised of a common area, classroom, offices, restrooms, a Retail Store & foyer.

Adults and Juniors of all experience levels, including aspiring new marksmen and women, are invited to take advantage to utilize the air gun range at the CMP Competition Center for training. Open to the public and we offer air guns to rent for a small fee and pellets are available to purchase.

MONTHLY AIR GUN MATCHES

The CMP Monthly Matches feature a Junior Rifle 3x20, 60 Shot Air Rifle Standing, 60 Shot Air Pistol, and Beginner 3x10 match. Rental equipment is available for the monthly matches for a small fee.

STEEL CHALLENGES

The Pistol and Rifle Steel Challenge returns to the National Matches in 2025, taking place on the Laser Shot simulators set up inside the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center. This virtual event allows competitors to engage in video game-style target challenges using real, modified firearms.

DIRECTIONS TO CAMP PERRY

Camp Perry is located five miles west of Port Clinton, Ohio on Ohio State Highway #2. Two lighthouse towers on the north side of the road on either side of the entrance mark the main gate.
