First Gen students from across the country participate in the 2025 First Generation Leadership Program Pre-Conference, a key component of the GlobalMindED Conference in Denver, Colorado, on June 16, 2025. See the agenda below. This program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain invaluable insights into maximizing their college and employment know-how from First Gen leaders across fields who have the same lived experiences as our students.
What Makes This First Gen Experience Unique?
At GlobalMindED 2025, students learn from and mingle directly with CEOs, policymakers, tech innovators, and foundation leaders across industries. Students will attend the First Gen Leadership Program on June 16, where they will meet students from across the country, learn from exceptional leaders and role models, and determine how to make the most of the GlobalMindED conference. June 17-18, they will choose from over 90 high-impact sessions led by 400+ speakers and connect with mentors who want to see them thrive.
Participating First Gen students will:
- Create powerful career connections with leaders that can last a lifetime
- Gain real-world wisdom from leaders and innovators in business, policy, technology, education, healthcare, and more
- Learn diplomacy, leadership, and the soft skills that shape today’s changemakers
- Become confident in networking with leaders from the top of their industry
- Prepare for professional work with confidence, clarity, and vision
- Attend sessions with global changemakers where their voice is heard and valued
- Make internship/job connections at the Industry Marketplace/Career Exploration Arena
