Dear Friends and Supporters,
On this Giving Tuesday, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your outpouring of generosity in response to Hurricane Melissa. Your compassion has already made a meaningful difference in the lives of families who lost so much, and your continued partnership remains essential as recovery continues.
Your Support Is Already Changing Lives
Because of donors like you, immediate relief efforts were deployed within days. Here’s what your gifts have helped make possible:
● Emergency Food Distribution: Families in Orange Hill, Turner, Tanzie Corner, Goshen, Benin, Browns Town and Retreat (St Ann Jamaica) received essential food packages containing rice, beans, canned meats, and bottled water
— a lifeline during a time when markets remain closed and access to meals is uncertain.
● Transportation & On-the-Ground Logistics: Local volunteers and relief teams
navigated damaged roads to deliver supplies quickly and safely.
● Collaborative Relief Efforts: Working closely with community partners led by local counselor Kim Brown Lawrence and Samaritan’s Purse
● Provided Starlink internet service for Browns Town Baptist Church and the broader Browns Town Community.
● Huntley Brown assisted in distributing over 200 emergency roof coverings, solar supplies, and hygiene kits donated by Samaritans Purse to families who had received no previous aid.
The photos and videos sent from the community reflect deep gratitude and a clear message: your support matters. These early interventions provided stability for vulnerable households, but the path ahead remains long.
