Spring 2025 Graduation Information

Congratulations on your graduation from American River College! 


This is an important and exciting milestone and we are so proud of your accomplishments! Graduation 2025 will be Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23. All Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 graduates, and Spring 2025 candidates (prospective graduates) are invited to participate in graduation. The ceremony you attend will be based on your declared major HomeBase.


As a graduate of Art; Health & Education; Public Service; or STEM HomeBase you will be attending the Thursday, May 22, 2025 ceremony. To attend the graduation ceremony, you must confirm your participation by completing the RSVP form by Friday, May 2.

If you believe you have been added to the incorrect HomeBase or you can’t attend the ceremony with your HomeBase, you can request to attend the Friday ceremony by completing our short form by the RSVP deadline of May 2.

Graduate Speaker

If you are interested in auditioning to be the graduation speaker, please complete the Student Graduation Speaker interest form by Friday, April 4.


Graduate Check-in

Graduates must check in at 6 pm on the bottom floor of the parking garage. When you arrive, stop at one of the tables to fill out your name and photo card. You must have a name/photo card with you before you head into the stadium. Staff will be available to answer any questions.


Regalia – Cap & Gown

Cap, gown, and tassel are required and available for purchase at the bookstore, which also has other graduation-related items not required for purchase. Stoles celebrating your degree, club, or cultural affiliations, decorated caps, and other celebratory wear are welcome, but not required. 

Extra caps, gowns, and tassels will not be available at the ceremony, so please make your purchases in advance. Students experiencing financial hardship can request assistance through the "Gowns for Grads" program. Grads need to complete this form: Gowns for Grads Program Form with their information. Students will be contacted within 48 business hours with the determination on their request.


Guest Seating

Guest seating will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Gates will open for guest seating at 6 pm. Tickets will not be required.


Accessible Guest Seating

A limited number of accessible seating spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis for guests using wheelchairs, scooters, canes, or other mobility devices. Upon arrival, please inform the staff at the stadium entrance, and they will direct you to the designated seating area. Each guest using accessible seating may have one companion join them, while additional members of the party are welcome to find seats nearby.
