Workforce Reduction Support Event for Prent Flagstaff Workers – Navigating Next Career Move

On March 5, ARIZONA@WORK Coconino Workforce Development Board, in collaboration with WIOA partners—Chicanos Por La Causa, Eckerd Connects, Arizona Department of Economic Security, and Vocational Rehabilitation—hosted a non-WARN Workforce Reduction Support Event for Prent Flagstaff employees.

Our dedicated team provided critical career transition services to 28 of the 47 affected employees, including ASL and Spanish-speaking individuals. Services included career counseling, Arizona Job Connection registration, résumé development, interview coaching, and access to training and Vocational Rehabilitation programs.

We extend our gratitude to Prent Flagstaff’s management team for their support in allowing employees to participate during work hours. Employees who couldn’t attend received guidance on accessing services online and at our job center.

One-Stop Operator Program Highlight

Successful Training Session Fosters Collaboration Among ARIZONA@WORK Partners

On Wednesday, March 19, Coconino County One-Stop Operator hosted a successful training session for our partners, led by Heather Bachicha, Title 3 Supervisor Linda Branch, and Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA) Supervisor Amy Bratlie. During the session, partners were encouraged to share insights about their roles within ARIZONA@WORK.

The discussions sparked valuable questions and deepened understanding of each program. We were also fortunate to have board staff present, who observed the session and shared insights about the Coconino County Workforce Development Board. The session left us all excited about the future potential for building stronger partnerships.
