2025 NYS WIC Vendor Bulletin #12:
Potential Shutdown of the Federal Government
New York State store owners and operators,
Congress has not enacted a Federal Budget and there is a potential of a Federal Government shutdown. The New York State (NYS) WIC Program plans to be open for business as usual. If that changes, NYS will notify Authorized WIC vendors right away. Otherwise, vendors must continue to accept WIC benefits.
NYS recognizes the difficulties due to all the uncertainty of the Federal budget. As we learn more, we will continue to share any new information.
