New Membership Training 2025

Hello (FOSWST),

We're excited to announce that we have another upcoming event on Saturday, May 3rd to join FOSWST as a Volunteer Beach Ambassador (VBA)!

Volunteer Beach Ambassadors, when wearing their T-shirt, interact with the public in a positive and friendly way whether on the beach, stationed at beach accesses, or even out around town. We look forward to meeting you and having you join the FOSWST family!

This meeting will include a presentation & guest speakers, along with receiving your FOSWST t-shirt & name tag, trifold card, & FOSWST volunteer info packet. There will also be giveaways (cups, koozies, and frisbees) available to you to utilize when interacting with visitors on the beach!

What to Expect

Arrival & Receive Welcome Packet: 9:30 am-9:55 am
VBA Welcome & Guest Speakers: 10 am - 10:45am
Closing & Membership Payment | Shirt & Badge Pickup: 10:45 - 11:15 am

Out of respect to our guest speakers all membership payments and shirt & badge pickup is reserved for the end of our meeting. Please plan accordingly!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO REGISTRATION:

$5.00 membership fee (Cash or Check),

Registration is Required!

** Prior to your RSVP for this event. Make sure you've completed our initial VBA form here.

After clicking the button below, click on the + sign to indicate the number of attendees, and click Continue. You will then be taken to the registration form to fill out info for each new VBA attending. Each new VBA needs to have a separate email address.

REMINDERS

VBAs are no longer allowed to use their Blue whistles on the beach.

We're excited to see our VBA's hitting the beaches for the 2025 season! With beach walking, educational & community events on the calendar it's so important to our organization for all volunteers to please keep track of all of your VBA hours!
