Dear RAB Parents,
Michelle and I are so excited for our 5th season this year! To those of you who started with us in my mother's basement back in 2020 and to those of you who have just joined us this year, Michelle and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us with your children. It is a responsibility that we take very seriously.
This year started out with an unexpected challenge. While we had already made our agreements to use the theatre at Clover Hill High School, unfortunately, due to a policy change within the county, they let us know that we were no longer able to rent their theatre. In the scramble to find a new theatre and update the calendar, we neglected to explain to all of you that we had decided to put on 2 more performances of "The Nutcracker" this year.
As RAB continues to grow, it is very important to us that everyone is still getting the same quality of experience that has gotten us to where we are today. We are very selective about our teachers, we meet regularly to discuss our students and to make sure that we are all working on a common syllabus.
In addition to keeping the education here top notch, we have been focusing on making sure that the performances we offer here give EVERY student the opportunity to showcase their unique talents. Every new year brings another class that has been working for a long time and is ready for more. That is why were are adding 2 more shows to the run of "The Nutcracker" this year. While adding shows is a bit more of a lift for us all, these shows will make it possible for us to offer THIRTY-TWO more highlighted roles than we were able to offer last year! We really want this for your kids, and we are willing do the extra work to make it happen.
The shows will be:
Thursday, Dec. 18th 7:00PM
Friday, Dec. 19th 7:00PM
Saturday, Dec. 20th 1:00PM & 5:00PM
Sunday, Dec. 21 12:00PM & 4:00PM
Show Participation by Class. Specifics on which days these dancers are dancing are coming very soon.
- Creative Movement: 1 show
- Pre-Ballet 1: 1 show
- Pre-Ballet 2: 2 shows
- Ballet 1: 2 shows
- Ballet 2Y: 2 shows
- Ballet 3Y: 3 shows
- Ballet 3CP: 3 shows
- Ballet 4C: 4 shows (some dancers may have highlighted roles in additional shows)
- Ballet 5 and up all shows
We know that change effects everyone differently, and RAB has always had an open door policy. All along the way, we have benefited from hearing from you. If in our efforts to be a positive force for you and your family, you ever feel that you have been overlooked or something is being missed, please let me know. You will always have my ear, my care, and my attention.
