Baby Café USA Issues 2025 Proclamation & Call to Action in Support of World Breastfeeding Week & National Breastfeeding Month
Wakefield, MA – In recognition of World Breastfeeding Week (August 1–7) and National Breastfeeding Month, Baby Café USA has released its 2025 Proclamation & Call to Action: “Forward Together with Baby Café”, affirming its commitment to equitable, community-based lactation support across the country. This year’s theme aligns with the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee’s (USBC) 2025 theme, “Forward Together,” and reflects Baby Café USA’s commitment to advancing breastfeeding through sustainable support systems. Baby Café USA acknowledges USBC’s leadership in elevating breastfeeding as a public health priority and is proud to take action in step with their call. The Forward Together with Baby Café Proclamation & Call to Action invites licensees, partner organizations, health professionals, policymakers, and community leaders to:

Recognize and uplift World Breastfeeding Week and National BreastfeedingMonth through community engagement, events, and visibility campaigns

Promote licensed Baby Cafés as inclusive, no-cost sites for breastfeeding support andconnection

Encourage families to visit a Baby Café and experience the power of community-basedcare

Advocate for policy changes that remove systemic barriers and expand access tolactation support

About Baby Café USA Baby Café USA operates a nationwide network of licensed, drop-in breastfeeding support sites staffed by Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs), healthcare providers trained to support breastfeeding families, and peer supporters.
