Quarterly Updates

Q3 | 2025

A Quarter of Growth and Planning

As we move into the final stretch of the year, LSND has been hard at work serving communities across North Dakota through legal assistance, outreach, and new partnerships. This quarter has been full of growth and planning, and we’re especially excited about what’s ahead. On October 22, we’ll host our annual Pro Bono Summit, bringing attorneys together to strengthen pro bono services statewide. Looking further ahead, save the date for April 18, 2026, when we’ll hold LSND’s first-ever gala, an evening to celebrate our mission and raise vital funds to expand access to justice.

🎤Meet Your Emcee: Steve Simonson!

LSND's First Annual Gala: Roaring Pursuit of Justice is on April 18, 2026.

We’re excited to announce that Steve Simonson, Managing Attorney and Director of Litigation for Legal Services of North Dakota (LSND), will be the emcee for the 2026 LSND Gala!

A proud son of Enderlin, ND, Steve’s journey has taken him from West Point and NDSU, to serving as an Infantry officer in the U.S. Army, and ultimately to a distinguished legal career in North Dakota. Since 2012, he has led the LSND Fargo office with unwavering dedication to our mission: “Making Justice Available to All.”

When he’s not advocating for access to justice, you can find Steve enjoying small-town life, reading history, or strumming his guitar.

Join us as we welcome Steve to the stage — a true leader, storyteller, and passionate champion for justice! 🏛️🎸

LSND Attends Minot Symphony Orchestra for the 100 year anniversary!

On Saturday, August 23rd, the Minot Symphony Orchestra turned 100 years old, and LSND was honored to be there. Dapper suits, grateful hearts, and community. For a full century, the Symphony has done far more than fill a hall; it’s filled our community; bringing world-class music to the prairie, inspiring students & nurturing local talent, as well as giving neighbors a shared place to breathe and feel something larger than ourselves. At Legal Services of North Dakota, we see every day how strong communities are built, and the Symphony has been part of that foundation by lifting spirits, connecting people, and reminding us of what we’re working toward. Thank you for a hundred years of resonance and resolve. Thank you, Minot Symphony Orchestra, and here's to the next 100 years!
