What events will be opening registration tomorrow?
June 7 & 8 -- Orcas Island 50K & 25K -- Registration opens Dec 10
The dates will be Saturday June 7th for the 50K and Sunday June 8th for the 25K. Due to a reduction in available parking spots at Moran State Park where parking was already very limited we will now be starting and finishing the races just outside the park at the beautiful, waterside Doe Bay Resort! We're so excited for the opportunity to hold these classic races at such a nice time of year and in such a cool location! The courses will be slightly different than they've been the last few years (different than any of the previous 20 years actually) but they'll still be beautiful and tough and will still include all the essentials like Cascade Falls, Powerline, North Boundary Trail, Mt Constitution, Mountain Lake and more! There will be a little bit of road at the very start and very end of the race courses to go between Doe Bay and the park but it'll only be about half a mile of paved road on a low traffic back road and another half mile of dirt driveway. Once registration opens you'll also be able to make your reservations to stay for race weekend at Doe Bay which is such a nice place to stay with all their cool cabins, yurts, the outdoor soaking tubs and sauna and the top-notch Doe Bay Cafe. We'll also have onsite camping available. We're so excited to share this beautiful place and beautiful trails with you at such a nice time of the year!
