2025 TARCC Grants Program

TARCC is pleased to announce its new Request for Applications (RFA) to support innovative research across the state of Texas, and to ensure that a diverse pool of well-trained basic and translational researchers and clinician-scientists are available to aid in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

Given recent concerns related to NIH funding uncertainties, we are releasing this Request for Applications (RFA) earlier than usual to provide maximum benefit to Texas researchers. 



We hope to give applicants ample time to prepare strong submissions while allowing us to move swiftly once funding decisions are finalized. We recognize the critical importance of stable funding for your work and are committed to doing everything we can to expedite this process.

This RFA is open to applications from scientists at TARCC member institutions:


• Baylor College of Medicine

• Texas A&M University Health Science Center

• Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

• University of North Texas Health Science Center

• UT Health Science Center–San Antonio

• UT-Austin Dell Medical School

• UT Southwestern Medical Center

• UT Health Science Center–Houston

• UT Medical Branch at Galveston

• UT Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine

• UT Tyler Health Science Center



Applications will be submitted through ProposalCentral

Proposal Central Instructions

To submit proposals please go to www.proposalcentral.com and follow these steps.

  1. Create an account.
  2. Create new proposal.
  3. In the search bar type "Texas".
  4. Then select the specific RFA proposal of your choosing that is listed in the TARCC RFA.


Applications are due July 15, 2025 by 5pm CST.
