LOOR’s Requirements for Personal Survival Courses 2025

Details on the requirements and how to find courses are available HERE!

Ontario Sailing is working to schedule up to three or more Coastal Personal Survival Courses before the first LOOR races. As these courses can’t be held until boats are in the water, they hope to have details posted and registration open before the end of the month.

It’s important to get into the queue by having your name on the waiting list. This can be done by accessing Ontario Sailing Course Registration, then selecting “Offshore and Coastal Personal Survival Course”. Finally select the appropriate “Inquiry Form” and complete it.

If you have questions, issues, or concerns, reach out to LOOR via email at registrar@loor.ca.

Gone Sailing Adventures

is offering a limited number of crew spots for the Lake Ontario

300 (LO300), the longest annual freshwater sailing race in the world. This is your chance to experience offshore racing firsthand, sailing 300 nautical miles through shifting winds,

night sailing, and unpredictable conditions. No yacht? No problem! We’re welcoming

both seasoned sailors and adventurous newcomers to join the crew and take on this

exciting challenge aboard our two competitive cruising yachts (Beneteau 38 & Dufour 382

GL), designed for both speed and comfort in offshore conditions.

As part of the crew, you’ll participate in a practice sail to sharpen your skills, receive race

entry, enjoy onboard meals, and take home exclusive Gone Sailing Adventures swag.

You’ll race alongside experienced skippers, learning tactical decision-making, offshore

endurance, and teamwork in a real regatta setting. Beyond the LO300, Gone Sailing

Adventures provides expert-led sailing courses and fractional memberships, giving

sailors access to top-tier yachts without the cost of ownership. Whether you’re looking

to push your sailing to the next level or experience an unforgettable adventure on Lake

Ontario, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.

Crew spots are limited—secure yours today and race with us in the LO300! Join the crew now! Follow the QR code below:
