CB Global Gathering in October

Led by President Jim Smith, CB Global is gathering this year on the island of Guam. Bayview Church will be hosting this annual event on October 3-5, 2025. Network leaders will share what is happening in their world, plus some great communicators of God's word will be speaking. You can register now for the gathering. A schedule for the weekend can be found on our CBGlobal.church website. If you need an invitation letter for your visa application, please email us at laura@pacificchurchnetwork.com.

CB Global in India

In July, Jim Smith was invited to speak at South India Baptist General Association's annual meeting in Bangaluru, India. SIBGA is a member of CB Global, which is a ministry of PCN. Emilio Núñez, Jose Hernandez, Jesus Jurado, and Jim Smith traveled for a quick week of speaking, praying, encouraging, observing, and eating some good rice! Over 300 pastors and wives attended the convention! Jim spoke four times at the meeting, and all four men were privileged to speak and visit several churches. Jose Hernandez's church, Iglesia Bautist Carmenita Shaddai in Norwalk, adopted a church in India and has helped them over a number of years, including donating enough funds to purchase land and build a new church. Below is a short video of the trip.

Newly Ordained in the Philippines

On August 4, these men completed their ordination process in confirming their call to ministry. Congratulations to these newly ordained Ministers from one of the many regions in the Conservative Baptist Association of the Philippines. May God richly use them for His glory.

Myanmar Earthquake Relief Update

From a pastor in Myanmar:

I would like to share with you about the earthquake relief work we recently carried out. This was the fifth time we have been able to help earthquake victims. Over the past three days, in four hard-hit locations--Sagaing, Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, and the Inle Lake area--we provided rice bags, cooking oil, purified water, firewood, and tarpaulins for damaged house roofs. Through this effort, we were able to assist a total of 678 families. From what we observed, the needs of the people will remain for a long time, as the impact of the earthquake has been very severe. Although it was not officially permitted to distribute gospel tracts, Bibles, or to preach openly, we were able to share the Good News wisely and quietly. With this trip, we would like to bring our earthquake relief efforts to a close, since there are now even greater needs arising from the civil war and other natural disasters such as floods and landslides.

Sharing Christ in Roatan, Honduras

Rupert Solomon is a pastor on the island of Roatan, off the coast of Honduras. He also leads a network of 12 churches, 8 on Roatan and 4 on the island of Guaná. God has been good and has allowed him to walk with other pastors and grow with them in their ministry and faith. His local church has at least 80 members, and they actively share the Good News with the people in their local town. Rupert recently joined CB Global and enjoyed sharing during an August Zoom meeting with 21 other Latin American pastors from 10 countries.

Reaching the People of Peru

Fidel Gómez Ríos, from Perú, is the Regional director of approximately 70 churches.

This network was just accepted by the PCN Board in August to be part of CB Global. Fidel is the pastor of Iglesia Bautista Horeb which is located north of Lima, the capital of Peru; he has served there for 14 years. They have seen many coming to the Lord, and as a result, hold discipleship and evangelism classes, as well as home Bible Studies. They are sending out men as missionaries throughout Peru. The main challenge Pastor Fidel shared in a recent Zoom meeting is “to reach every corner of the country that God allows us to enter with His Word. And to have an impact on the hearts of other pastors so that they will join and support the mission that we have to reach all the difficult-to-reach people in Peru.”

Prayer Across Japan

CB Japan has begun holding bimonthly national prayer meetings via Zoom. Since April 2025, brothers and sisters in Christ have been gathering online from all over Japan to pray together every other 4th Friday of the month. We call it CBP (i.e., Conservative Baptist Prayer). We hope it is an encouragement and blessing for the believers across Japan who do not have many opportunities to meet with fellow believers from other churches. Of course, we would rather gather in person, so on September 15th, we will be gathering in Yamagata Prefecture for our annual gathering, which we call "Family Festa." We appreciate your prayers!
