A Time for All Seasons
Greetings Friends,
Ecclesiastes 3:1 reads, “For everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven”. It is certainly a time of ‘seasons’. We are fresh on the heels of the twelve days of the Christmas, which includes the New Year. On January 6, we recognize the Feast of Epiphany, and the recognition of the One born the Prince of Peace, as witnessed by the wise ones who came from the east. We also enter the Christian season of Epiphany which will take us forward to Ash Wednesday and Lent.
I ponder what this season of Epiphany will bring for outdoor ministry with UCCI. Since last fall, we have been planning and scheduling 2025 events at each of our sites. On January 13, our 2025 events at Moon Beach and Daycholah Center will open for registration. All 2025 events at Cedar Valley are currently open for registration. On January 20, Camp AweSum will open for registration. We are excitedly looking forward to opportunities to share sanctuary, hospitality, and ministry with more guests again this year.
We will be closing out or ‘Roots & Wings’ development campaign by mid-January. Although we will not meet our ‘Roots or Wings’ goal, we have seen strong response and are within reach of hitting $100,000 with these final days of the appeal. “Roots & Wings” coupled with the Moon Beach Cabin Foundation project have raised over $325,000 for UCCI! THANK YOU!
This is also a season where we continue our drive to reduce our administrative overhead and drive toward sustainable operations thereby ensuring UCCI will continue to provide transformational experiences for generations to come.
I close wishing you a Happy New Year and I encourage you to look for opportunities where outdoor ministry might intersect with your seasons in the year ahead!
With gratitude and blessings,
Jim

As we near the end of our Roots and Wings campaign, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the support. You can help us raise the final $15,000 to achieve a total $100,000 milestone that is truly impactful. Together, we can ensure success of UCCI programming in 2025 and beyond!
