Dear USCID Members,
I am thrilled to announce the Call for Papers for the upcoming USCID Annual Conference, scheduled to take place from October 21-24, 2025, in Reno, Nevada. This year's conference will focus on the critical issues surrounding water supply and demand management. As we face increasing challenges due to regulatory constraints, over allocated basins, conjunctive management, and competing water needs, it is imperative that we come together to share innovative solutions and strategies.
We invite you to submit abstracts for papers and presentations that address the conference topics, which include basin water management, competing agricultural and urban uses, water planning, supply and demand management, water transfers, conjunctive use of groundwater and surface water, and the latest technologies in irrigation and drainage. Detailed information on the submission process and conference topics can be found on our website at www.uscid.org.
Please mark your calendars and save the date for this important event. The conference will feature a half-day workshop, plenary sessions on technical and policy considerations, invited speakers, and a concluding tour in the Walker River Basin. It will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and learning from experts in the field.
