Exciting News for Conway Public Library

Drea Kasianchuk is Named Youth Services Assistant!

Conway Public Library's Youth Services Assistant

We are thrilled to welcome Andreava

Kasianchuk to our Conway Library team! Drea demonstrates an enthusiastic commitment to quality services for library patrons, with a focus on youth and teens.

Born and raised in the Mount Washington Valley, Drea recently returned to the area with a desire to work with youth. Her background in outdoor education, project management, event planning, as well as non-profit and corporate organizational communication has given her the experiences and skills to navigate and support an ever-progressing local public library.

Drea’s passion for creating enriching learning experiences for young people is clear through her commitment to supporting exploration, critical thinking, and literacy. She has shared a great love for the outdoors with local youth by volunteering as a ski teacher for the Eastern Slope Ski Club, and teaching mountain biking through the North Conway Community Center.

Drea holds a love for our beautiful Mount Washington Valley, and looks forward to sharing this with others through meaningful connections. If you haven’t met Drea yet, you can often find her behind the circulation desk or in the children’s room where she welcomes new introductions!

Library Intern added QR codes to Historical Art

Conway Public Library's Intern's QR Historical Project

Juli Medeiros, a Henney History Room intern, recently completed several important tasks at the Conway Public Library to make the archives more user-friendly.

The goal of the internship was to experience as many different archival processes as possible. Medeiros received hands-on experience learning about collection development, cataloging, and preserving different types of items, from books to photographs, maps, and more.

This winter, the Conway Public Library welcomes a new history room intern, Theo Soriente, who plans to pursue a degree in library and archival sciences. According to Library Director Jeff Beavers, Soriente has been a longtime volunteer with the library, including being a founding member of the Teen Leadership Council.

Giving Books, Movies, or Music

Donate your books to Conway Public Library! Bring us your new or gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, music CDs, and jigsaw puzzles. Unfortunately, we cannot accept certain donations.

Please see our Item Donation Guidelines for detailed information. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us at 603.447.5552.

Donated materials may be added to our collection if they meet the library's collection development standards. When a donation doesn't fit our collection, the Friends of the Library step in. They generously fund new materials and other projects from the proceeds of their book sales, showing how every donation, no matter how big or small, is integral to our operations.

Some of your donated items find a home in the Little Free Library, a community-driven initiative where you can “take a book, return a book.” The first Little Free Library was placed at Conway Lake, and the second is on the porch at Leavitt’s Bakery in Conway, NH, fostering a sense of community and shared love for reading.
