November 13 Friendsgiving Trivia Night at the Mattoon Library, 6-7:30pm

  • Pivot into Mattoon Public Library for a trivia night based on the iconic TV show - Friends. Play individually or bring a team (up to 6) to compete together. Light refreshments provided. November 13-17 Sarah Bush Lincoln Foundation’s Holiday Festival to benefit the expansion of the Regional Cancer Center.

  • Friends Night Out is November 13 5-7pm and held in the SBL Lumpkin Education Center, Entrance C on the north side of campus. For $10 people can enjoy a signature drink and get and exclusive preview of everything the Festival have to offer. Doors open again Friday the 14th at 3pm.

November 14 Winter Exhibitions opening reception at Tarble Arts at EIU, 5pm

  • Join Tarble Arts to celebrate the opening of the Tarble's Winter exhibitions: "25 Years: Art + Design Alumni, 2000-2025" and "At Hand, At Present: Collage and the Practice of Making Do." Tarble Arts Center is located at 2010 9th ST. in Charleston on the campus of Eastern Illinois University.


November 14-16 The Holiday Market Christmas Gift and Craft Show at the Cross County Mall

  • Get into the Christmas spirit and shop local at the Holiday Market! Discover community creations and handmade gifts to mark off your Christmas list! Free admission, festive goods, and local fun! Open during mall hours.


November 15 Pictures with Santa at Lake Land College

  • Lake Land College Foundation is hosting this event 9-11am at 5001 Lake Land Blvd. Limited spots available – sign up on the Facebook event page! Crafts, Hot Cocoa, Cookies, and Firepit. Food donations for the Lake Land College on-campus food pantry are also being collected at the event.


November 15 Sarah Bush Lincoln Foundation’s Holiday Festival – Gala- SOLD OUT.


November 15 Stand-up Comedy Show at The Speakeasy Club, Lounge, & Event Center, 7pm


November 16 Cops for Kids Annual Fundraiser at The Speakeasy Club, Lounge, & Event Center, 1-6pm

  • Help the local police department bring joy with toys to area children at this annual event. There will be over 150 silent auction items, live music by 4 of a Kind, food and giveaways. Cops for Kids is made possible each year by fundraising, such as ongoing raffles posted on the police department's Facebook page, and through donations from the community. Monetary donations are still needed for this year's shopping trip and can be dropped off, care of Mattoon Cops for Kids, at the police station


November 17 Craft & Connect, Mattoon Library, 4-5:30pm

  • It’s time to craft & connect - get creative while socializing with others. This November edition is: Bedazzled Books - glue gems to bedazzle one of your favorite books! Book NOT provided - all other materials provided. Registration required: https://mattoon-il.whofi.com/calendar/event/350822


November 19 Mattoon Library annual fundraiser, "Through the Looking Glass" 5pm

  • Don't be late for a very important date - Wednesday, November 19, 5-7pm! It is our Annual Fundraiser! Join us for a whimsical evening themed to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland “Through the Looking Glass” to fundraise to replace the windows at the Mattoon Public Library and other capital projects. Themed attire welcome but not required. Expect music, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, photobooth, auction and raffle.
