Each year at our Annual Luncheon, we proudly recognize an individual whose compassion, leadership, and dedication have made a profound difference in the lives of older adults throughout our community. It is our honor to announce that Pasco County Property Appraiser Mike Wells has been selected as the 2026 Sally Parks Outstanding Humanitarian Award recipient.
A respected public servant, community leader, and philanthropist, Mike Wells has devoted his career to strengthening Pasco County and improving the quality of life for its residents. Since taking office as Pasco County Property Appraiser in 2021, and throughout his previous service as a Pasco County Commissioner, Mike has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to building a stronger, more connected community for all.
A former board member of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, and 2006 graduate of Leadership Pasco, Mike has long championed causes that support seniors, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and those experiencing homelessness. His leadership and volunteer service has extended to other notable organizations such as the YMCA, United Way, and Feeding Pasco’s Elderly. Mike has championed the expansion of critical resources and opportunities for some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mike is known for his humility, generosity, and genuine heart for service. Whether meeting with constituents, volunteering his time, or leading charitable fishing charter trips, he consistently finds meaningful ways to give back. He and his wife, Tiffany, are proud parents to their son, Cole, who is a recent graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University.
