2026 CMP Eastern Games

Eastern Games is set to be held May 2-10 at the Camp Butner Training Facility in North Carolina. The recreation-oriented event, part of CMP’s Travel Games series, is an exciting assortment of competitions and educational clinics open to adults and juniors of all experience levels!

Guests to the event will be able to choose from a lineup of CMP’s own modern and vintage military rifle competitions (fired on CMP’s line of outdoor eTargets) and a growing field of pistol opportunities.

NEW IN 2026: The top 10 percent of competitors in the As-Issued John C. Garand and Springfield Rifle Matches who have not earned any previous EIC Rifle credit point will now be able to earn introductory 4-point legs in these matches! Similarly, competitors firing in the As-Issued Pistol match without Service Pistol EIC points have the chance to earn their first four points!

Introduction to Firearms & Training: Marksmanship 101s

No past firearm experience required!

CMP’s Pistol and Rifle Marksmanship 101s are designed to train individuals new to firearms and marksmanship (adults and youth alike). Marksmanship 101s are designed as an extension of the SAFS courses, offering the same exceptional instruction to all experience levels. Learn safety, basic instruction, firing practices, competition skills and live range firing.

Firearms and ammunition is provided for this class. Each course is led by certified CMP Master Instructors and U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit (USAMU) team members as well as other military and civilian marksmanship professionals. Intermediate and advanced competitors are also welcome to participate! All attendees required to wear hearing and eye protection.
