Dear PGA WEST Residential Association Members and Residents,
As we prepare for the 2026 Coachella Fest and Stagecoach events, we wanted to send out a friendly reminder about the upcoming three weekends of music festivals. Coachella Fest will affect traffic and density in the area from April 10 – April 12, and April 17 – April 19, and Stagecoach will affect traffic and density in the area from April 24 – April 26.
With these events come a few things for you to consider:
Increased Traffic – Expect heavier traffic flow in and around the community and Coachella Valley due to festival attendees and related events. Please click here Coachella 2026: Road closures begin near Empire Polo Club to review the Traffic Alert Map, which identifies road closures, alternate routes, no pedestrian access, and major delay areas.
- Guests in the Community – Please use extra caution when walking or biking in the community as there will be guests who are not familiar with the Association’s 20 MPH speed limit. If you witness any behaviors from guests that conflict with the Community Rules and Regulations, or if you observe local, state or federal laws being violated, please contact the appropriate entity.
- PGA WEST Gate and Patrol – (760) 564-5452
- La Quinta Police Department - (760) 863-8990
- City of La Quinta Code Compliance – (760) 777-7050
- Shop Early – Grocery Stores and Gas Stations will be crowded
- Make Reservations in Advance – The Festival attendees will be enjoying the local restaurants; therefore, if you plan to dine out during the Festival Weekends, we suggest that you secure a reservation in advance and arrive to the restaurant early as parking may be limited.
Although these festivals cause traffic delays and temporarily increase density, they also generate revenue and bring recognition to the Coachella Valley. Golden Voice Concert Promoter has a long-term land lease with the Empire Polo Club, and the festivals continue to draw large crowds; therefore, the residents of the Coachella Valley can expect these annual events to continue. Hopefully, the few tips in this communication will make a positive difference in your experience with the music festivals.
