Mission Hunt

History of Missionary Work | 2025.10.18

A guided tour at Hong Kong Cemetery took place on the 18th October, 2025. During the visit, participants learned about the missionaries who arrived in Hong Kong as well as local leaders. This allows us to understand the history of Christianity here and offers insight into how we can appreciate past achievements.

Short-Term Mission Trips | 2025.11.30

Various churches sent short-term mission teams to locations such as Macau, Taiwan, and Japan in 2025. The teams reported meaningful experiences and highlighted local needs. More team leaders are willing to step up and serve alongside team members inspired by the remarkable works of God.

Mission Hunt | 2026.2.1

Mission Hunt is an event designed to help participants learn about former and current missionaries sent by HKCB churches to various locations, and ministries in Macau and Japan. It also serves as a fundraising effort for supporting Alan, who will be a missionary. Church members who participate are encouraged to continue supporting these missions, and we give thanks that many have been inspired to extend the work of missionaries.

Pastor Luis Matute Visits PCN

We were thrilled to have Pastor Luis Matute of CB Panama attend the Pacific Church Network Annual Meeting on February 1 (pictured above). Here is an update from Pastor Matute:

This new year, we have begun teaching about the spontaneous expansion of the Gospel through the book of Acts. Janie, our youngest daughter, will be teaching Bible classes to the young adults aged 18 to 29 this year. Our daughter, Azucenita has to undergo surgery again because her foot condition (a new tumor) has recurred. This year, after 24 years, we will be able to become permanent residents in Panama. We face the financial challenge of covering the expenses, which are $2,300 per person. Thank you so much for your prayers and support of God's work here in Panama.

Pastor Marcelo Centineo

By the grace and favor of the Lord, Pastor Marcelo Centineo, his wife, his three children, and his son-in-law are deeply involved in the church, serving in its various ministries. Each of them has their own job outside the church, but within their available time, they passionately and dedicatedly serve the lord.

This is a picture of their first meeting in a new church plant in Cruz de Caña. Argentina. Here is an update from Pastor Centineo:

"Iglesia Tiempo de Dios is an independent church that my family and I started in the City of Merlo, San Luis, Argentina, in May of 2005. Throughout these years, our ministry's emphasis has been on training workers, fostering the growth of believers, and providing sound biblical teaching. God has allowed us, with the effort and commitment of the brothers and sisters, to build our own building, where we celebrate services and carry out all the activities of the church.

It should be noted that the city where we are located is in a somewhat isolated and poorly evangelized area. Only 2% of the people who live in the region regularly attend a Christian church. Over the past three years, the Lord has prompted us to expand beyond our city, reaching out to some areas of the region that do not have a church. We began in an area called Cruz de Caña, where we have been meeting in a family home for all this time.

The Lord has enabled us to purchase land in this area along the road that connects several small villages, and we have begun constructing a building where we can hold our services. We are currently laying the foundation, and we would like to be able to lay the floor and erect the walls this year. The brothers and sisters of the church are willing to work to achieve this, but we lack the materials. The cost for the concrete floor is approximately $8,000. and for the walls, $12,000. Next year, we hope to be able to put on the roof and begin to hold our activities in this place.

Thank you for reading our message, and we pray that the lord will bless and guide you in all things.

With love in Christ

Marcelo Centineo, Pastor Tiempo de Dios Church"

Pastor Elvis Domínguez

Pastor Elvis Domínguez writes to us from Guatemala:

"¡Greetings in the name of our Lord! It is a privilege to share with you the wonders that God is doing through Iglesia Vida Abundante, in Guatemala and Pastor Elvis Dominguez. We are witnessing a beautiful spiritual harvest and acts of faith that are transforming our community through fellowship, discipleship, and growth in the Word. God has opened doors for this new church plant and is equipping local leaders to be a light in Guatemala.

Prayer Requests:

Leadership: Monthly support for the pastor. Pray that we can get enough financial support so that our leadership can dedicate themselves full-time to shepherding the congregation.

Infrastructure: Construction of a multipurpose room, a vital space we need for children's classes, leadership training, and community events.

Evangelism: Bibles in Spanish. We need copies to give to new believers as they begin their walk with Christ.

New Church Plantings: Bibles and support. We have a need for specific resources to equip and support the new church plant in its initial phase.

"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:19

Thank you for your prayers, love, and support. Every progress we achieve is also a triumph for you, who accompany us from afar.

If you feel called to financially support any of these specific needs, please get in touch with us. Every little bit helps!"

Soul-Winning Marathon

Dear Friends and Partners in the Myanmar Ministry,

Since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, we have not been able to conduct our December Soul-Winning Marathon for the past four years. Although the civil war continues severely across the country, this year we could not remain silent. By faith and with much prayer, we organized 31 teams made up of our Bible College students and staff and sent them to various mission points to share the Gospel with the field missionaries during the last week of December 2025.

In addition, the children from our Hope Children’s Home also participated for one day by distributing gospel tracts at the zoo park. By God’s grace, we distributed 15,177 gospel tracts to 15,177 people. We were also able to witness to 19,511 people, both individually and in groups. From among them, 464 people confessed their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. We thank and praise God for these results, and we continue to pray that the gospel tracts distributed will bear fruit in the lives of those who read them.

All Bible College students and faculty members have now safely returned to the campus and have resumed their Bible studies. We are deeply grateful to all who contributed funds and prayers for this soul-winning outreach. We humbly pray that the Holy Spirit will continue His work in the hearts of those who heard the Gospel.

Yours in His vineyard,

Pastor Timothy

Powerful Street Evangelism

Calvary Love Church conducted a powerful street evangelism outreach during the first two weeks of January. Church members prayerfully gathered to distribute Bibles and gospel tracts, boldly proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. This outreach is a regular mission effort of our church, and it was encouraging to see many members participate wholeheartedly in fulfilling the Great Commission. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19. As the Word of God was shared, the Lord touched many hearts. We rejoice that several new members were added to the church during this outreach season. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17. “My word… shall not return to Me void.” — Isaiah 55:11. We thank God for His faithfulness and pray that He will continue to use our church to reach many more souls in the days ahead.
