Activities Highlights

DIY Chinese New Year Hanging Decoration Workshop

(English/ Mandarin) on Feb 2 at 1:30pm

Welcome the Lunar New Year with colour, creativity, and festive spirit! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own Chinese New Year hanging decoration — a meaningful ornament traditionally used to bring good fortune, happiness, and prosperity into the home.

Whether you prefer something elegant and traditional or playful and modern, this workshop offers the freedom to design a piece that reflects your wishes for the year ahead.

Take home a handmade decoration to display on your door, wall, or window — a festive reminder of renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings.

DIY Chinese New Year

Iris Folding Card Workshop

( English/Cantonese) on Feb 6 at 12:30pm

Celebrate the Lunar New Year in a thoughtful and creative way by making your own Iris Folding greeting card. This workshop introduces the beautiful paper-folding technique of iris folding, where layered paper is arranged to form a striking spiral design at the centre of a card.

Using Chinese New Year–themed patterns and colours, you will create a unique greeting card perfect for sharing New Year wishes with family and friends.

The process is both relaxing and rewarding. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a finished handmade card that combines traditional celebration with a modern craft technique.

DIY Heart Brooch Workshop

( English/Mandarin) on Feb 10 at 2:30pm

Add a little love to your style by creating your own handmade heart brooch in this charming DIY workshop. Using colourful materials, simple tools, and plenty of creative freedom, you’ll design a wearable piece that reflects your personality—sweet, bold, playful, or minimalist.

This workshop offers a relaxed space to slow down, enjoy the process, and make something truly personal. Whether you’re designing a gift for someone special or a keepsake just for yourself, your finished brooch will be a small but meaningful accessory filled with care and creativity.

DIY Lip Gloss Workshop

(English/Mandarin) on Feb 20 at 3:15pm

There’s something quietly joyful about making something just for yourself. At our DIY Lip Gloss Workshop, you’re invited to slow down, play with colour, and create a little everyday luxury with your own hands. From subtle shimmer to bold shine, you’ll blend a lip gloss that feels personal, fun, and uniquely yours.

This workshop isn’t about rushing or getting things “perfect.” It’s about enjoying the moment—mixing, testing, and discovering what you love.

The finished lip gloss may be small, but it carries creativity, care, and a touch of confidence you can take with you.

Caregivers Support Group

on Feb 20 at 2:30pm

Are you a family member or friend caring for a loved one aged 65 and older? If you are an unpaid caregiver supporting an older adult who lives at home in Richmond, we warmly invite you to join our Caregivers Support Group.

Caring for someone you love can be meaningful, but it can also feel overwhelming and isolating at times. This support group offers a safe, welcoming space where caregivers can come together to share experiences, listen to one another, and find reassurance.

Come connect with others who truly understand, exchange practical insights, and take a moment to care for yourself while caring for others.
