Six Months of Progress for Anaheim and District 3

Over the past six months, the Anaheim City Council has worked to invest in our neighborhoods, support local businesses, strengthen public safety, respond to resident concerns, enhance community engagement and plan for Anaheim's future.


I'm proud of what we've accomplished together, and below are just a few of the highlights from the first half of 2026.

At a Glance

  • $104 million invested in parks, libraries and community services
  • 87 affordable homes opened at Azure Apartments
  • 4 District 3 student scholarships awarded
  • 68 parks, 12 community centers and 7 libraries supported through continued City investment
  • Land secured for future Fire Station 13
  • New Police Chief Manny Cid welcomed

Investing in Our Neighbordhoods

  • Adopted a $2.6 billion City budget that protects essential services while continuing investments in Anaheim's future.
  • Approved $325 million in capital improvements for roads, sidewalks, parks, libraries and neighborhood infrastructure.
  • Continued investments in public safety equipment, Fire Station 12 and other critical infrastructure.
  • Strengthened Anaheim's long-term financial outlook through responsible fiscal planning.

Expanding Housing Opportunities

  • Opened 87 affordable homes at Azure Apartments.
  • Advanced workforce and affordable housing projects across Anaheim.
  • Continued Anaheim's workforce housing investment strategy to expand opportunities for working families by creating a housing trust and housing support.  
  • Increased investments in homelessness response through coordinated outreach, housing assistance and public safety partnerships.

Supporting Students & Families

  • Celebrated new innovation centers at Loara and Benjamin Franklin elementary schools.
  • Awarded four scholarships to graduating seniors from Anaheim High School and District 3.
  • Partnered with Girls Inc. to host the EmployHER Summit.
  • Expanded youth engagement programs that promote leadership and help prevent gang involvement.


Growing Anaheim's Economy

  • Broke ground on a new Porsche dealership that will create jobs and generate long-term revenue for the City.
  • Continued implementing Anaheim's Economic Development Strategic Plan.
  • Supported redevelopment projects that encourage investment and strengthen Anaheim's economic future.

Keeping Anaheim Safe

  • Increased investments in police patrols and neighborhood public safety.
  • Secured land for a future fire station serving District 3 and west Anaheim.
  • Continued investments in homeless outreach, gang prevention, youth engagement and graffiti abatement.
  • Enhanced neighborhood safety through improved lighting, brush clearance and other infrastructure improvements.
  • Welcomed Anaheim Police Chief Manny Cid.
  • Approved new regulations on nitrous oxide and kratom sales to better protect public health and youth.


Looking Ahead

I remain committed to improving our neighborhoods, supporting public safety, expanding housing opportunities, strengthening our local economy, and delivering responsive constituent services for District 3 residents.
