CB Global in Guam

We had a wonderful weekend on the beautiful island of Guam, which was the location of our 2025 CB Global Gathering.

  • We had 45 church leaders throughout the weekend join us.
  • Reports from Guam, Honduras, Hong Kong, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan and the US.
  • Messages from Pastors John Kuo, Kevin Elwell, Rey Avante and Jim Smith.
  • Great food provided by Bayview Church.
  • Some Guam Ministerial Pastors joined us on Saturday.
  • Enjoyed the Sunday Worship Service at Bayview Church.
  • Experienced some the tourist sights around Guam.

Bayview Church Was An Awesome Host

Thank you Bayview Church for hosting our annual gathering! The food was delicious and plentiful. Lead Pastor Kevin Elwell was a fantastic host and shared with us the history of Bayview and his journey to Guam. He wanted this weekend experience to be memorable, and he succeeded. The meeting room was perfect as well. Years ago, it was originally used as a gathering place for military personnel. Over the years the church grew, and through Kevin's leadership, it is reaching the island of Guam in a influential way. Thanks to Pastor Kevin, the church Elders, the host homes who open their homes to many, and the volunteers for all their hard work. A special thank you to Pastor Pancho Madrid for the many, many trips to the airport. Thank you. We wore Pastor Kevin out (upper left in the picture!).

Myanmar Update

Our Myanmar churches could not come to Guam, but we did hear from them. Pastor Go was invited to Taiwan to share about his ministry in Myanmar during a mission conference at WuChang Church earlier this year. Pastor Go shared through a prayer letter some praise and prayer requests.

Praise Reports

• I praise the Lord that both the Biblical School of Theology and Elpis International School have been able to continue smoothly this year.

• I am also thankful that the necessary funds for purchasing bicycles have been provided through mission donations.
• We had many opportunities to preach the Gospel and teach church leaders.

Prayer Requests

• Please continue to pray earnestly for peace in Myanmar.

• Pray for the new Medical Ministry project we hope to launch soon.

CB Global Prays for One Another

During our Online Meetings and at our CB Global Gatherings, we pray. In Guam, after each update, we spent time praying in small groups. This is what we are about.

  • CB Global, as a ministry of Pacific Church Network, exists to glorify God by bringing its members together in the unity of Christ to fulfill the Great Commission.

  •  The public launch of CB Global was on November 30, 2005, in the Philippines. In November 2023, the CB Global Council voted to become a ministry of Pacific Church Network. PCN's Board approved the request on January 18, 2024.

  •  CB Global members commit themselves to accountable relationships to foster unity among its members through mutual trust and encouragement.

  •  Based upon our shared statement of faith, we solemnly commit to facilitate cooperative efforts to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  •  We encourage communication of needs and resources between other CB Global members to help strengthen, encourage, and equip local churches, leaders and pastors.

  •  We agree to use our individual strengths and churches to participate in the community of CB Global.

  •  As God enables, we support the ministries of CB Global, but CB Global will not regularly donate to or regularly require financial donations from its members. There are times when CB Global members may be asked to use their finances and resources, as God directs, to support other members or a CB Global project.

  •  We uphold the CB Global Statement of Faith to which we subscribe.

  •  We affirm the leadership and ministries of the members.

Look not only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others”
(Philippians 2:4)
