2026 Proposed Ministry Plan (budget)

On Sunday, right after Worship, we held our first information session before the Annual Congregation Meeting.

Our attendance at Worship on Sunday was lower than usual, since people were still traveling back from family Thanksgivings. Of course, that also affected attendance at our first information meeting, which had 27 attendees.

The second information session takes place after Worship this Sunday, December 7. Then, on December 14, Pilgrim holds a congregation meeting immediately after Worship.

During this first session, Melissa Hendrix led us through the 2026 Proposed Ministry Plan (budget). You can see that here

She began by reviewing the current bank accounts at First Community Bank of SC: an Operating Account for the Ministry Plan with a current balance of $25,427.07, a Money Market Account with a current balance of $46,793.20, and a Mortgage Loan Account with an owed balance of $144,204.17.

She also reviewed a Money Market Account at Thrivent Financial with a current balance of $32,434.08 and a mortgage loan from the South Carolina Lutheran Men in Mission with a current balance of $137,500.

She then moved to the 2026 Ministry Plan Worksheet.

After she finished her presentation, we opened the floor for questions and suggested that if attendees had questions after they returned home, they could reach out to our Generosity Team Members: Melissa Hendrix, Wade Miles (treasurer), or Wally Steinhauser.

We received a question from an attendee after Melissa talked about income. It was about the process for renting a room at the church. He asked if the wedding policy was the same. That rental process has been loaded to its own page on our revised website and will be live soon. The wedding process/policy is unchanged and is ultimately managed by Linda Corley, our wedding director, although Courtney often serves as the first point of contact.
