Each year, the State of Idaho requires annual training for all state employees to ensure our workforce remains secure, respectful, and compliant with statewide policy. This message provides important information about the 2026 Required Annual Trainings and your completion requirements.
All Idaho State University employees are required to complete the 2026 Required Annual Training in the Talent Management System (TMS), with a completion window of March 1 - March 31.
Employees will receive automatic reminders from TMS until the required training has been completed.
Cybersecurity Required Training:
Security Awareness Foundations (20 minutes)
Generative AI: Seeing Through the Deception (4 minutes)
HR Required Training:
Respectful Workplace – 15 minutes
These trainings are required annually, even if you completed the 2025 version within the
past year.
How to Access Your Training Beginning March 1:
1. Log in to myISU (www.isu.edu/myisu)
2. Access Talent Management System (TMS)
3. Select the Assigned Assessment(s) found in Your Action Items
4. Launch each Assigned Assessment
5. Training will automatically move to “Completed” once finished.
What you need to know:
The required annual Cybersecurity and Respectful Workplace training module will be available in TMS on Monday, March 2, and must be accessed and completed by March 31, 2026.
Throughout 2026 - State of Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR) will be periodically conducting random phish tests for state employees to confirm understanding.
Employees on extended leave are still required to complete the training and should do so promptly upon return to work.
ISU HR is here to help. We are working closely with DHR to ensure this process works as smoothly as possible and will be diligently working with departments, managers, and supervisors to support the completion of this requirement for all ISU employees.
