2026 Summer Camp - January Newsletter

Message from the Camp Director

Welcome to the 2026 Summer Camp Newsletter Series

Like you, I am an active adult scouting volunteer leader and know that planning and preparing for your unit to attend summer camp, at times can feel cumbersome and stressful. It is not meant to be a challenge of patience and perseverance.

We appreciate all that you do for scouting and know that your time is valuable. We are here to support you and help guide you through this process! To this end, our first step to assist our units will be to provide you with monthly updates to help you prepare for your unit’s stay with us.

Each month we will provide you with useful and important information by myself, our Business Manager, Michelle Cathers and our Program Director, Seamus Getty. Look for the “pro tips”, videos, guides and schedules to help ease this process and answer frequently asked questions that may arise.

As the new Summer Camp Director, my team’s goal is to provide you and your scouts the safest, most memorable, rewarding and exciting summer camp experience.

As we move towards our time together, should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me @ robert.michell@scouting.org or at (215) 297-5290 or my team members below.

I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Sincerely,

Rob Michell

Tier 1 Discounted Rate & Making Payments

Good morning summer camp leaders,
Believe it or not, summer camp will be here before we know it! Now is the time to let parents know about our deepest discounted rate of $550. This rate is available through February 28th* after which the price increases to $575. Your Arrow of Light Crossover Scouts can take advantage of the $550 discounted rate through May 31st. A Scout must be paid in full by the deadline to lock in the discounted rate.

*Pro tip: Consider selecting a deadline up to a week in advance for your families to pay the Troop to allow your Treasurer or designee enough time to make the payment to us on time.

I’m including a brief video which we recorded last year** on how to make summer camp payments. If you are new to Tentaroo or just need a refresher, please take a moment and view the following video: CLICK HERE. The passcode is: @&BM98vk

**All dates & rates shown in the video are from 2025; but the process demonstrated is valid.

Lastly, the full fee schedule and refund policy are available in the buttons below. Please share the refund policy with families now to avoid any unpleasant surprises closer to camp.

I’m looking forward to seeing you this summer!

Take care,

Michelle Cathers
