Two-day workshop with nationally recognized Marine Artist Ken Stetz.
• Workshop will include a paint-along lesson and an open paint session with individual instruction.
Topics covered will include:
• Drawing - color mixing - application of paint.
• Using compliments - color perspective.
Subject matter covered will include:
• Moving water - sunlight and shadow - rocks - boats - birds - trees - figures in a landscape.
This workshop is not for beginners. Some painting experience is required.
Ken Stetz is a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) and an official artist for the US Coast Guard (COGAP). His work has been juried into national and international exhibitions, as well as into the permanent collection of the Coast Guard. In 2024 Ken received the distinguished - best in show - George Gray Award for outstanding support of the Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP) for his painting, shown below, “Absorbing the Roll”
