Graduating Cohort doing their chant! (Crain Photography)
| | |
After weeks of learning, exploring new careers, meeting incredible professionals, and making memories along the way, we officially celebrated the Class of 2026 at our Workforce Discovery Lab graduation ceremony.
The celebration was made even more special by the many people who came out to support our students, including councilmembers, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and, most importantly, their friends and families. We were honored to hear inspiring remarks from Samantha Le, Executive Director of the Success Foundation; De’Andre Jones, Executive Vice President of the Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce; Bob Livingston, Past Board Chair of the Success Foundation; Joe Van, Highline Public Schools Board Director; Council President Armen Papyan and Councilmember Joe Camacho from the City of Tukwila; and Cathy Vue from the Port of Seattle.
One of the most meaningful parts of the celebration was hearing directly from our students. Each graduate took the stage to share their favorite moments, biggest takeaways, and what they learned throughout the program. Hearing them reflect on how much they had grown was a powerful reminder of why this program matters. Every student also received a certificate of completion and a $500 stipend to recognize all of their hard work and commitment.
To our 2026 graduates, we hope you carry the connections, confidence, and lessons you gained throughout this experience with you wherever you go next. We are so excited to watch everything you accomplish!
