GEO Climate Initiative Features Documentary Film

Green Energy Ohio has hosted three screenings of the climate documentary "The Human Element" including a recent showing at the University of Dayton in collaboration with the Hanley Sustainability Institute and Dayton Regional Green.

In the film, renowned environmental photographer James Balog explores wildfires, hurricanes, sea level rise, a struggling coal mining community, and our changing air supply. "The Human Element" highlights Americans on the front lines of climate change and inspires all of us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world.

We presented a panel discussion after each showing of the film with participation by representatives of academia, the media, clean energy businesses, and advocacy organizations. Our audiences ranged from 75 to 120 people from whom we have received very positive feedback.

GEO wants to share "The Human Element" with more Ohio communities and stimulate much-needed discussion on the subject of climate change.
