Interfaith dialogue in medicine (nih.gov). A growing interfaith movement is attempting to penetrate barriers that historically have separated religious traditions. The goal of interfaith dialogue is to develop a mutual collaboration addressing moral and ethical issues with a unified voice. It requires both an appreciative understanding of the person as a human being as well as an understanding of that person’s religious or spiritual path. Interfaith faith dialogue includes nonreligious or atheistic philosophies, and it does not view religion or spirituality as either good or bad but as different perspectives.
