Strategies to reform residency education to incorporate a health equity curriculum within psychiatry and internal medicine residency programs is presented in this Webinar from Dell Medical School in Austin, TX. The aim of these educational is to create a space prioritizing humility and vulnerability to encourage and foster meaningful discussion. Five Physician Organizations Award Nearly $300K to Support DEI Training.The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM), the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), the ABIM Foundation, the American College of Physicians (ACP), and the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation donated nearly 300K to 32 different healthcare organizations and medical schools to reform internal medicine residency education by creating a DEI curriculum that addresses diverse communities' needs, increases residents' education of social issues in diverse communities, and addressing systemic racism and other social determinants of health.
