information were impacted by Covid-19.  Our team came together during this difficult time to respond to the crisis.

Bay Area Transit Agencies Team Up to Provide Vaccine Transportation

The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) is teaming resources with their sister Bay Area transit agencies to ensure that the entire Bay Area can use transit to get to C-19 vaccination sites. Their collective transit agencies created a one-stop website at healthytransitplan.com.

Riders not only have a full list of vaccination sites accessible by public transit, but also the special rider promotions currently serving each site. Transit-friendly vaccination sites will help provide equitable access, especially for vulnerable Bay Area communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.

Housing Choices

In December Eden I&R announced the launch of the new improved website www.achousingchoices.org, home to ALL active waiting lists for affordable housing in Alameda County. The website features improved accessibility features based on best practices and input from local focus group participants in the homeless and mental health community.

In January, our housing team co-presented a workshop to over 50 participants with Health Leads entitled "How Do I Access Affordable Housing?" The content included A 90-minute virtual workshop in which participants learned key steps to finding affordable housing and heard advice from expert housing navigators on how to ensure clients have a competitive edge.

Housing Staff are also participating in the BLOOM Steering Committee, which is working on the design of the Alameda County Housing portal, which can be accessed at: https://housing.acgov.org/
#MaskOn Alameda County

As the vaccine continues to be distributed, COVID-19 is still in our community. It is still important to do our part to slow the spread. With the various celebrations and observances ahead, let’s not forget to stay safe. Avoid gatherings outside your household. Wear a mask when you’re out and wash your hands frequently. Caller Stories
A San Leandro family called seeking resources for Covid-19. Both adults in the household tested positive for Covid-19, have been unemployed since the end of January, and were unsure when they could go back to work. One adult was collecting CalWorks but did not receive full benefits. 211 provided this family with information on several drive-through food pantries as well as Eden Council for Hope and Opportunity, Inc for rental assistance.
