22 athletes begin horsemanship journey at Virginia Horse Center

Today, 22 athletes begin their horsemanship journey as the 2018 Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional Training Session at the Virginia Horse Center kicks off in Lexington, Virginia.
Clinicians Geoff Teall and Colleen Reed will lead riders through the five-day session that encompasses both mounted and unmounted instruction, and Teall's mounted sessions will be available to the public for free auditing.
The U.S. Hunter Jumper Association congratulates the following members who have been accepted to participate in this session:

EAP sessions are held over five days with athletes participating in mounted flatwork, gymnastics exercises and coursework as well as intensive stable management lessons. Athletes also spend time auditing and hearing presentations from guest speakers at the sessions.
Free auditing is available to the public for the riding portions of the session.
Already more than 100 athletes have participated in the program across the country this year. Of the 10 sessions offered throughout 2018, two more Regional Training Sessions remain and will take place in Colorado and Ohio. To view the calendar of the sessions,

Following the Regional Training Sessions, 16 of the Regional Training Session participants and a select number of stable managers will be invited to attend the National Training Session Nov. 8-11 at University of Findlay in Ohio.
