Hi Zach-
We hope that your winter break is off to a great start! As you begin to rest, recover, and reflect on the semester we hope that you'll take a few moments to consider applying to be a Resident Adviser (RA) for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Being an RA is about being present, supportive, knowledgeable, and simply caring about your fellow students. We work to build trust and a genuine sense of community that helps each student know they belong.
The RA position gives you a unique resume builder that will provide you with countless transferable skills to use during your time at Wake and in your future career! Effectively overseeing and supporting a large group of diverse individuals from a position of leadership looks great on a resume. Wake Forest RA alumni include Rhodes Scholars, surgeon generals, judges, physicians, and leadership positions in a wide range of professions. Our very own President Wente was an RA when she was in college!
You'll also gain exclusive access to professional development, academic support, and a network of other students and professionals. There are tangible benefits, too, including a ten-month $5,700 stipend and a private bedroom at a reduced rate.
If you'd like to learn more about the expectations and advantages of becoming a Wake Forest University Resident Adviser or begin the application process, visit go.wfu.edu/ra, or email me at harveyk@wfu.edu.
