YOUR ALTRUISM = 23 YEARS OF SERVICE

This month RWF celebrates its 23rd anniversary. In those years, we have distributed more than six million dollars in aid and grants to more than 30 countries. All RWF staff are volunteers, and have been supported so far by 85,000 volunteer hours contributed by people like you.

We are so grateful for your love and generosity toward those we serve. Your altruism has allowed us to help many people in need around the world this year. You put the LGBTQ+ community’s highest beliefs and values into action — expressing our compassion and caring for the world.

We hope you will help us continue to make a difference.

BE A LIFELINE TO OUR GLOBAL LGBTQ+ FAMILY

RWF is a lifeline to our LGBTQ+ and non-LGBTQ brothers and sisters around the world.

Here are a few highlights of our work this year:

• In Ukraine, RWF provided aid to LGBQT+ people who remain.

• In India, RWF provided shelter and psychological support to transgender persons and survivors of human trafficking.

• In Central America, RWF funded an underground railroad that helped transgender woman from El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala reach safety, build community, and establish new lives.

• In Cuba, RWF provided vital aid for the LGBTQ+ struggle for civil rights. RWF also funded summer camps for HIV-positive kids and kids with cancer.

• In the Middle East, RWF helped LGBTQ+ refuges escaping immanent threat in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. Hundreds of refugees that RWF has helped have reached safety and many now live in Canada, Europe and the USA.

• In Uganda, RWF provided support to LGBTQ+ people by funding shelter, safe passage, and the medical needs of people fleeing danger.

• In the USA and around the world, RWF provides emergency aid following fires and other natural disasters.

• RWF helped orphans and displaced children in Guatemala, Mexico, and Uganda by funding education, housing and medical care.

Your gift of $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000, or more will mean that those at home or in far-distant lands will feel the support of the LGBTQ+ community.

WORLD TREE OF HOPE: SYMBOL OF GLOBAL UNITY

Be a part of this unique symbol of global unity! It's not too late to add your wish to the tree. Throughout December we will be adding wishes to the 18th annual RWF World Tree of Hope at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. All of the origami cranes on the tree are inscribed with wishes, hopes, and prayers for the future. Please add your wish to the tree, it'll be printed, folded into a crane, and placed on the tree. Adding a wish is FREE and open to all.

The tree is RWF's gift to the world and reflects our philosophy of building bridges and sharing the message that we are all one human family.
