Firefighter Training


Surry Community College is offering FREE Firefighter Training for high school students!


Earn the North Carolina Firefighter Certification in three semesters -- the program consists of three course blocks offered consecutively each semester, beginning with the Spring 2026 semester.


Eligible high school juniors and seniors should register with their high school counselor or SCC advisor before the holiday break.

Share the Ride NC


Share the Ride NC is a free website and app that offers carpool-matching, trip-tracking for commuter rewards, and more! This is a great option for Surry Community College students to carpool in order to save money on gas.


Carpools are made up of people who have similar work/class schedules and travel similar routes. Riders choose the meeting location, days, and times they want to carpool. Some carpoolers take turns driving their personal vehicles, while other use just one car and split the driving costs. Carpools are flexible as riders can choose to only carpool on certain days.

Knights Grill


The Knights Grill offers a full breakfast daily with multiple plate specials and β€œgrab and go” items along with a full grill side with numerous selections and Hunt Brothers pizza by the hunk or a whole pizza. The grill also has a full salad bar. Assorted desserts are available throughout the week.
