Hillview ASB presents the Winter Wonderland Dance!
Friday December 6, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, PAC
7th- and 8th-Grade Winter Wonderland
Semi-formal Dance

  • Tickets on sale at school December 2 - 6, and at the door
  • $10 or $7 with ASB card
  • Students required to have their school ID
  • Semi-formal attire encouraged, but optional
  • Pizza for $2, plus affordable drinks and a bake sale
  • Break area with board games and a movie room

Students arriving after 6:30 pm or leaving before 8:00 pm require a parent drop-off/pick-up inside the PAC lobby.

Dance Chaperones Needed for Winter Wonderland Dance

Sign up here to join us for the Winter Hillview Dance. C haperone between 5:45 - 8:15 pm or for part of the time period. Enjoy an evening of the coolest top 40 hits, latest dance moves, and ‘tween socialization in action. Email with questions here
iPads over Holiday Breaks
Hillview is tech-free over holiday breaks!

For Thanksgiving, internet access on school iPads will be unavailable from 9:00 am on Wednesday, November 27 through 9:00 am on Sunday, December 1.

We encourage students and families to disconnect from technology and spend time together. One idea from Common Sense Media, one of our district partners, is to create a "Device-Free Dinner." Enjoy the tech-free time!

The Hillview yearbook prints a baby photo of all 8th-grade students. Send the yearbook your student's baby photo! Instructions here .

Hillview Athletics
Hillview Dance and Cheerleading Spirit Squad
Registration is now open via Team Snap here .
The Dance and Cheerleading Spirit Squad is looking for enthusiastic students to join the team! Students will represent Hillview and learn dance and cheer technique, stunts, sideline cheers, and pom pom routines. 

  • Practice: Wednesdays, 2:35 - 3:35 pm, fitness room
  • Dates: January 8 - March 4. No practice February 19
  • Fees $120 per student-athlete. Scholarships available by contacting your student's school counselor here.

Students will perform at various school events, basketball games, and the Hillview Annual Dance Show on February 27, 28, 29. Contact Katie DeAnda here for questions.
Childcare on Upcoming Non-School Days? We've Got You Covered

MPCSD has partnered with two organizations - Newton Center and Steve and Kate's Camp to provide child care over school days off. These fee-based camps are offered for your convenience, but are not facilitated by MPCSD.

  • Staff Development Day, Monday, December 2, Newton will offer childcare at the Laurel lower campus for students in grades K-8. Registration is the same for Newton and non-Newton Families. Register here. Select "Camp" section and "Menlo Park registration."

  • Winter Break, December 23, 26, 27, 30, 31 and Jan 2, 3, 6, 7. Steve & Kate's Camp will offer childcare at Hillview. Available for students ages 4-12. Registration is open now here.

Our annual auction "It's for the Kids!" will be held at the Computer History Museum here on March 7, 2020. This is a night you won't want to miss! More details to come soon.

Science Backstage with TheatreWorks Silicon Valley and Science is Elementary Saturday, December 14 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto 
Join us for a fun backstage look at how simple machines make the show go on! Witness how what we learn about science in school lives in the world: pulleys and weights, inclined planes, wheels, axles, and more! New Oskar Assemblies Presented by TheatreWorks Silicon Valley March 2 - April 10. Tours Bay Area Schools. Two new live assemblies that explore important topics through theatrical storytelling. Oskar and the Big Bully Battle, Part 2 cleverly incorporates and builds upon research which reveals that many bullies are victims of bullying themselves.
