Forgive your neighbor’s injustice; then when you pray, your own sins will be forgiven. (Sir 28:2)

For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. (Rom 14:8)

Peter approached Jesus and asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.” (Mt 18:21-22)

Dear Parishioners:
. . . So, starting next weekend, September 19-20, and running through the month of October – and most likely through the end of the year (or the lifting of all restrictions, whichever comes first!) – we are adding a Sunday Mass to the schedule at SJB (7:00 a.m.) and at STA (10:30 a.m.). Two Senior Priests, Fr. Bob Stiefvater and Fr. Tom Lijewski, have agreed to help out until the end of the year; one of them will celebrate the 8:00 a.m. Mass at STA and the 9:30 a.m. Mass at SJB each Sunday while I will take the earlier Mass at SJB and the later one at STA. (I will continue to celebrate both Saturday Masses, myself.)

St. John the Baptist School focuses on educating the whole child. In following our mission, we not only strive for academic excellence but we interweave Catholic faith throughout every subject area forming our students into disciples of Christ. As part of our mission, serving God and others is modeled and encouraged. Recently, some of our students created adorable pictures of Mother Teresa with one of her many famous quotes. "Not all of us can do great things. But, we can do small things with great love." This quote truly fits in with our school's mission of serving God and others by encouraging our school family to share whatever God-given gifts and talents. What a blessing it is to feel supported by our parish family as we work together to fulfill our mission!
