The dark chocolate foliage and ruby red blooms of canna 'Australia' are a crowd-pleaser! This variety has a petite rhizome compared to other cannas and grows 4 to 5 feet tall. We love this canna planted next to Black-Eyed Susans, coleus, or elephant ears. It also pairs well with Yellow King Humbert and Grande Red Stripe.
There isn't much information on the origins of 'Australia,' which is a hybrid varietal of the species Canna indica. It is one of the darkest foliage cannas we have ever seen, making it a fantastic contrast to other green leafed plants and shrubs!
