Member Socials - Join us for Cocktails, Bites, Music and Fun
July 17 and Sept. 11 - Free to Members
Our first Sunset Social on June 27 was a joyful celebration. While it drizzled a bit, it didn't dampen our spirits; we had a great time kicking off this new member social series. This Sunset Social Series is presented by our friends at Reagan Marine and supported by our generous product sponsors.
The next two events are scheduled for July 17 and September 11, and will take place between 4 and 7 p.m. each evening.
Join us for camaraderie with other Sail Newport members, along with cocktails, bites, beautiful views, and music. On July 17, participate in our corn hole championship, enjoy the scenery, and try model boat sailing at the water's edge. In September, we’ll add a fire pit and live music for a delightful late summer social.
Members can attend these events for free, while non-member guests are welcome for just $10 per ticket. We encourage you to bring a non-member guest to help expand our vibrant sailing community. Don't forget to RSVP so we can ensure a memorable experience for everyone!

| | The Sailing Center is busy. with many youth sailing and racing programs. The description would be a very long list, so here's a quick clipboard view of what we have going on!!!! | | | | Community Waterfront Day a Massive Success | |
We partnered with Newport Community Schools and La Conexion to present our second Community Waterfront Day on Saturday, May 31. Guests were invited through many of our community partners to come to Sail Newport to experience free sailing, try fishing, boarding the magnificent Onowa, touring the research vessel Rozalia Project, learning about local Oysters from Blondies, exploring marine life at the Save the Bay touch tank, seeing Newport Harbor on an Oldport Marine water taxi, enjoying hot dogs by the Elks BBQ chefs, make take-away art and many more fun activities.
There are so many generous partners, sponsors, and volunteers to thank. It's impossible to do here. If you know any of these organizations or businesses, thank them for their support of Sail Newport and the Community Waterfront Day.

F18 Nationals
August 26-29, 2025
The Formula 18 (F18) sailors have participated in the annual Newport Regatta for many years. We're thrilled that the class selected Sail Newport to run the 2025 America's Championship next month. Definitely a high-performance boat, and fun to watch these fast and furious race boats, we anticipate entrants from North and South America. Leading up to the championship, the sailors will participate in the local New England 100 on August 23 & 24, also sailing from Sail Newport.

Sail for Hope
September 27, 2025
This annual event gathers boats of all sizes and types for the race around Jamestown to raise funding for charities. Yes, it's a scored competitive race, but, at the heart of the event is the fundraising for those in need and a show of patriotism by the sailing community. Launched in 2001 in the wake of 9-11, save the date for the race and social hosted by our generous co-founders at Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard. Charities will be announced soon.
