25th Anniversary Newsletter

Happy May Day!

These days I find myself visiting our chrysocolla rock pile frequently and holding this beautiful mineral a lot. Why, you ask…as per Melody's book Love is In The Earth “Chrysocolla can produce inner strength, helping to sustain one during stressful and/or long-enduring situations. In addition it provides one with patience, and the ideal to work on ones patience”. Once again we have run into obstacles that will prevent us from relocating into our new location this month as planned. Of course the original plan was to relocate in September of 2024, so with the help of chrysocolla, we have learned to turn these obstacles into benefits by offering you 2 locations to shop from and a much larger community event center to enjoy.

Because of delays in our relocation, even though we buy special inventory for this event every year, we were unable to have our much anticipated 19th Annual Spring Trunk Show that we normally present in April. Rather than wait until some unknown date when we will be relocating, we’ve decided to proceed and hold this event in our new Event Center at 11055 North IH35, May 16-25. Check out the information below for more details. This event is always an adventure and a chance to find new one-of-a-kind pieces. Hope to see you there!

This month the Full “Flower” Moon peaks on May 12th. The energy of the flower moon brings transformation such as going from seed to bloom and represents vitality, strength and growth. Use this energy to think about expanding perspectives of your life. On May 4-6 look southeast right before dawn and you just might catch a streaking tail (aka shooting star) from one of the Hailey's Comet meteors. It’s said that seeing a falling star is a sign of good fortune and a positive omen with energy good for transformation and spiritual connections. There won't be another opportunity for viewing more meteor activity until July and August, so consider enhancing your life by getting up early and enjoy that first cup of coffee outside during this time.

The Big Move to 11055 N IH35 - Updates

Move Delays Continue

Well, another roadblock reared its ugly head this month! Unfortunately due to a single letter being off on our power plan (the plan said 11055B instead of 11055A), the whole process got set back and we had to resubmit our power plan. We are once again waiting for Austin Energy to schedule our new power service installation. Once that is done, we are looking at 2-3 weeks to finish the build and permitting. We will be applying for a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for Stock, so that we can hopefully begin moving some of our backstock inventory to the new location. In the meantime, we have started putting in our trim, flooring and outlets. We also got estimates to replace some glass and install new double door entrances.

We cannot keep the public waiting any longer, so we have decided to hold our 19th Annual Spring Trunk Show featuring products from all around the world at our new 11055 Event Center May 16th-26th. See below for more exciting details! Our Event Center is full steam ahead with amazing events that are even bigger and better with our new stage!

We will continue offering you TWO LOCATIONS to shop from during this transition. As promised our Crystal Boutique at the 11055 Event Center AND our Retail Showroom at the 4103 Classic Location are now both open 7 days a week! Visit our Showroom from 11a-6p or our Crystal Boutique from 12-5p.

After updates from our General Contractor, here is our current (not set in stone) plan for the Big Move:

May - Upgrade our power grid, finish doors & floors, renovate 2 existing restrooms, finish exterior touch ups, get final permits and then install security, phone and network systems
June - Complete multi-phased move one department at a time to best serve customers; set-up new space & work on signage
July - Settling in and soft opening at our new location
August - 25th Anniversary Rock Fest Celebration & Grand Opening!

Astrology Overview for May 2025!

May 2025 holds a different energy than the months before it, which will bring a welcomed change! The planetary energies are on the move, inspiring us to step forward and perhaps even take some leaps of faith. We are hitting new ground and will feel like we are emerging into a new, and hopefully brighter chapter. Personally, if you have any planets or angles in the early degrees (0°-3°) of the Fixed signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, particularly Aquarius, you may be feeling a lot of intensity and need to change in profound ways. Depending on where the planets are falling in your chart, you are likely to be feeling a need to leave the old behind and step into a new identity which may not be fully clear right now.

There may well be a reshuffling of relationships and with the Sun and Moon involved this could be family-related, but Aquarius also is linked to friendships. Know that this is happening for many people right now, we are all on our own soul journey, so bless those relationships and move on into new soul groups which will gradually appear for you.

While Studying Architecture at Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia, Christine visited Austin for a project and immediately connected with the weirdness, inspiring her to move after graduation. Some call her "the Merchandise Fairy", a nod to her ability to bring a little magic to every store display she crafts as part of our Inventory team here at Nature's Treasures (no actual magic wand needed). She also finds joy in befriending stray animals, cracking jokes, and has been reading Tarot since she could shuffle a deck, thanks to her bloodline of witches.
